Singer Leona Lewis has said that she will not be performing at the London 2012 opening ceremony, with or without Adele.
After weeks of speculation, Leona Lewis has denied that she will perform at
the Olympics opening ceremony.
The Hackney-born singer has said reports that she is duetting with fellow Brit
School graduate Adele at the Olympic stadium are "unfortunately... not
true".
"I'm not performing there, with or without Adele," she told the Daily
Star. "I would obviously love to, though. She's incredible."
It's been three years since Lewis released her last album, Echo, and
she plans to release her third album, Glassheart, later this year, with the
song Trouble, written by Emeli Sandé as the first single.
Talking about the album, Lewis said: "All the songs are strong. I'm so
proud of it. It has a dark edge and even has a bit of dubstep in it. I just
want my fans to hear it now."
